Everything Has Meaning

Do you ever get frustrated with apparently meaningless events in your life? There is a truth that can change that. God exists, and He is not a mere spectator in this world. This is what it means for Him to be God. A "god" (little "g") is only something that is worshiped as an idol, and not an actual Almighty Sovereign. Our God rules over all and nothing can control Him. He loves us and cares for us. These two truths put together mean that everything, absolutely everything, has a meaning. We might not know what that meaning is, but it is there.
Hence, the only logical behavior in this world is to be humble and trust that God is doing what is best. The only logical behavior in a world without God is suicide. In that world, nothing has meaning, all is pointless, and even joy is worthless because it only delays the inevitable nihilistic annihilation after death. What joy to know simply that God exists. That in itself is hope.
